After obtaining management rights from the landlord, the RTM company required detailed building drawings to support the day-to-day running of the block and the decisions that follow from it.
Without an accurate record of the building, everything downstream becomes guesswork: what to maintain, what to insure it for, and what can realistically be improved.

How the survey was delivered
A live, occupied block leaves no room for improvisation. Each phase was planned around the residents as much as the building.

Preparation and planning
ASG assessed the building’s structure and layout, and worked with the client to establish the project requirements and completion timeline before any survey work began.

Resident engagement
To minimise disruption to people living in the building, ASG:
Helped distribute information letters to residents
Created a booking system for access appointments
Allowed residents to select convenient survey times
Provided phone and email support for questions and rescheduling

On-site survey
During the property inspection, the surveying team:
Used laser measuring equipment
Photographed important architectural features
Followed health and safety procedures
Wore appropriate PPE
Worked respectfully while entering residents’ homes
